091018 Algapan Sponsors 3000km Longboard trip to support Childhood Cancer Foundation Jim Petersson tried his first longboard some years ago and immediately fell in love. Inspired by his new passion and long board trips made by others he decided to go on his own adventure. 3000km from northern Thailand to Singapore, solely transported by his longboard and the rubber sole of his skate shoes. Jim is a person with an open heart and his care for children with cancer is his catalyst in this project. During his journey he needs your help to collect 50.000 Sek to Childhood Cancer Foundation. Algapan will support him with a special edition T-shirt where a major part of the profit will go to Jims project! We will be honored and thankful for your support! Algapan is a small independent clothing company that believes in small changes that makes a big difference. We believe in the strength of every human beeing to help saving the environment and the ongoing climate change. We have an amazing society around us. Technology and infrastructure supplies most of our needs and we take for granted that it works. But it has a down side. We are using the resources on the planet. What we produce finally becomes waste it contributes to polution and extermination of both animal species and natural assets. A great deal of the products that are commerced in the global market are produced in the far east. Textiles is such a product. It is one of the most unethical markets in the world. Algapan wants to contribute to the process of changing this. That is why we try hard to only deal with fair trade manufactured clothing. This include our strive to only use ecologically manufatured fabrics such as bamboo and organic cotton. If you havent tried wearing Bamboo, you will be surprised how soft it is! Beeing softer and stronger than cotton, antibacterial och sweat transporting it is an amazing material. Bying and wearing Algapan clothes helps keeping the ocean clean. We support the Surfrider Foundation and everything they do to save the waves and keep our beaches clean. We love you! |

090109 Det börjar närma sig bokslut för Algapan och det första året kan summeras som ett spännande och lärorikt introduktionsår. Nu utvecklas Algapan vidare och sommarens plagg kommer se lite annorlunda ut än tidigare. VI gillar färg och med färg ska det bli. Vi ska också se till att skapa lite sköna tjejplagg som efterfrågats. I korridorerna surras det också om att mindre serier kommer att kunna tryckas ute i ett visst garage på Ingarö.. Mest stolta är vi förstås över att vi har kunnat donera en slant till surfrider foundation, speciellt stort tack till Surfakademin och Timpa för det! 081118 Algapans första donation!
